I've blogged about this before, but I'm doing it again; Declan and his adversion to eating cereal. Well, I decided to try and add a little flavor to his cereal by adding in some banana bites. This is totally against my normal plan for baby food, I usually wait til 6 months to start baby foods, but to be honest I was getting desperate and now that I think about it, why? I don't know...maybe just my thinking that he should be eating some now instead of solely getting a bottle and Corin went to eating food so quickly and easily (ohh being compared to the big brother, again a bummer of being a second child). So, now that I have had time to reflect as I am blogging I'm going to chill out, but anyway I'll continue with the post as I was going to write it...
So, he was liking it, for a while...

But then...the crabbiness began...
At dinner tonight Declan would not sit in high chair, lay on his mat or be in his exersaucer, so Shane held him on his lap and this is what he was doing
First, trying to eat Shane's watch. Then trying to eat the table.
Declan was watching Corin eat dinner tonight. You'd think by this video he'd want to eat, but no, apparently he wants what Corin has and not his own type of food.
My third is my best cereal eater, he just took to it, but I have been totally lazy about adding new foods. And he has maybe a tenth as many pictures as the rest of the kids :) Such is life!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute video! Quin is only anxious about eating food once in a while... we've had bananas and green beans. I honestly don't remember how I did my other two, or when I started everything, so I'm just going for it. If he's not ready, I'll wait. I want to put an apple chunk in his mesh feeder thing, do you think it's too early?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jami! I wish he would get this excited about his own food, or maybe he was excited about watching his brother...
