With our Easter baskets
They each got a battery-powered bubble gun (which they wanted to play with immediately, but it was wet and cold outside, so we'll just have to wait) Coloring books (I had some leftover Crayola Color Wonder markers and books left from when Corin was little, so I was able to give Declan those and not have to buy) Corin's I got from the Dollar Store and then I found some cool swirl colored pencils, a stuffed animal, 2 church shirts (I really wanted them to wear the bold plaid to church, but they are short sleeves, so we wore the long sleeve blue ones. Declan's was a plaid and Corin's was stripes), a hat, the large eggs had a little toy in them (Declan a Fisher Price Little People train and Corin's a fire truck Lego set) and of course a Chocolate Bunny!
We had plenty of time this morning to enjoy our Easter baskets (except the bubble guns, which they REALLY wanted to do. I had to resort to hiding them)
After church we headed to my parents house for Easter dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. Corin was adament that we would have an Easter egg hunt to find eggs and put them in our baskets. And even though it was raining outside we hid them around my parents house, well Shane and my brother Austin did. They had a great time hiding them. I think they hid about 100 eggs! They were EVERYWHERE! Corin knew what to do right away. Declan wasn't sure at first, but then he watched what Corin was doing and we told him what to do and he caught on right quick! He was SO funny! He would find an egg, show it to whoever was around and say "Egg!" then put it in his basket! EVERYTIME!
Then they had dessert!
