I have one of each
They have picked which had is the most natural and comfortable for them to write with all on their own. So, we are now even in our household with Corin and I being left-handed and Declan and Shane being right-handed. I did think that would have all left-handed children because they would see me writing and follow what I was doing, but Declan started using his right hand to eat and it was a lot more natural just as left was for Corin. My father-in-law's ex-wife said once she was adiment about not having a left-handed child so much so that when he children would start writing, if they put it in their left-hand she would immediately switch it. She said this once in front of me, someone who IS left handed!! I personally, thought it was ridiculous! Yes, it is true that most things in the world are for right-handed people because that is the majority, but you can learn to adapt and I haven't had a problem. I didn't mind in school having a right handed desk and when I got to college, I actually preferred them because it gave me more freedom of arm movement. I learned to turn my paper so I could write (its almost at a 90 degree angle) and it works for me. My parents never cared what hand we wrote with as long as it was comfortable, natural and we learned to write, that was the most important thing.
