Today was a BEAUTIFULLY PERFECT day, so we walked to the park. I only took our small stroller (we have a Sit and Stand stroller, so Corin can ride on the little sit in the back) and Corin did great walking either next to me or a little bit ahead or behind and when we crossed 100th, he was GREAT!! He was dragging on the way home though, but that's understandable and didn't want to leave the park. This was Declan's first time at the park and he had a great time in the baby swing, sitting contently gently swinging back and forth. I took him out for awhile and put him in the sand. Yeah, didn't like that too much, but he didn't freak out as he did in the grass. I stood him up and he leaned up against my legs and watched his own bare feet in the sand. He even wiggled his toes in it and got sand all over them. That was enough and he wanted up. At least he tried. I didn't get a picture since I was holding him up, but next time we go I'll try to get one and be better prepared with the camera ready.
Corin of course had fun! He played Autopilot (from the movie Wall-E) with the wheel
Corin is very friendly and sociable. He would just go up to groups of kids and sit right down and play with them. There was a boy and a girl playing with their sand toys and Corin takes his sand toys, goes right over with them and starts playing. Also, while we were there I saw a mother of a girl I used to teach Preschool to at Seven Oaks Academy. The little girl I used to teach is now 10yrs old! And they have a little boy who is almost 4yrs-old! CRAZY!! It was actually GREAT to see this mother. She is a REALLY sweet woman, so is her daughter and it was nice to know that she recognized me and my voice. Our boys played together for awhile and we chatted. I hope to see them more at the park, they live really close to it and said they come often. Our boys will be going to the same school and will be in the same grade, so that's nice.
