Corin keeps talking about being a Dinosaur for Halloween. I asked some friends at church if they had a dinosaur costume and they didn't. My friend Marianne who also is the YW president who I have the pleasure of working with walked over to our house yesterday (in the drizzle rain, she wanted to take a walk in the mist because she loves it, but wanted a distination so she thought of us, it was a great surprise to see her at my door that morning even if I still was in my pjs, which she didn't care) to bring me this dog costume to see if Corin would like it instead. He had a fun time wearing it around all day and I appreciated her kindness, but Corin still kept taking about being a Dinosaur for Halloween.
Then, I got a message from my Visiting Teacher who is the 2nd Counselor in YW over the Beehives who I teach to tell me she was at Gordmans and they had a Dinosaur costume for $14.99. I went on the Gordmans website and because I registered to receive their emails I got a 15% off a single item coupon, which I printed and took with me today and it cost me $13.85, not too bad and MUCH better than the $25-$30 or more ones I was seeing that I couldn't afford. He was very excited to get home and put on his costume, but I had to explain that it wasn't Trick or Treating time yet, but he could wear his costume.
So, he roared like a dinosaur
And showed me that he had a tail.

Love the costumes! My kids are going to be the same thing as last year... how is that for frugal :)
ReplyDeleteNow that is frugal! Declan is going to wear Corin's first costume even though its going to be HUGE on him, oh well! Corin REALLY wanted to be a dinosaur, so it was nice to find a cheap costume for him. Are you being frugal to save up for the adorable Christmas outfits you want for your kiddos?
