Left...Left...Left, Right, Left

I have one of each

They have picked which had is the most natural and comfortable for them to write with all on their own. So, we are now even in our household with Corin and I being left-handed and Declan and Shane being right-handed. I did think that would have all left-handed children because they would see me writing and follow what I was doing, but Declan started using his right hand to eat and it was a lot more natural just as left was for Corin. My father-in-law's ex-wife said once she was adiment about not having a left-handed child so much so that when he children would start writing, if they put it in their left-hand she would immediately switch it. She said this once in front of me, someone who IS left handed!! I personally, thought it was ridiculous! Yes, it is true that most things in the world are for right-handed people because that is the majority, but you can learn to adapt and I haven't had a problem. I didn't mind in school having a right handed desk and when I got to college, I actually preferred them because it gave me more freedom of arm movement. I learned to turn my paper so I could write (its almost at a 90 degree angle) and it works for me. My parents never cared what hand we wrote with as long as it was comfortable, natural and we learned to write, that was the most important thing.

Finishing off Corin's Birthday

Papa, Nana (my parents), Uncle Austin (my brother), and Grandpa (Shane's dad) all came over this evening for dinner to celebrate Corin's 5th birthday with us! It was a nice, relaxed dinner of tacos (which Corin thoroughly enjoys), a few presents and of course cake! Corin's request was a chocolate cake with green frosting and sprinkles. Well, it wasn't frosting, it was a white chocolate drizzle dyed green since it goes better on a bundt cake. He loved it!

He got some much needed summer and new church clothes from Papa, Nana and Uncle Austin. My mom was sick this past week so my dad went out clothes shopping and did a great job picking them out!

He sang Happy Birthday with us! It was funny! While we were doing presents he would ask "When are we having cake so you can sing Happy Birthday to me?"

I'm 5 Today!

Corin was SO excited that his birthday was today and that he was turning 5! We sang Happy Birthday when we woke up and told him we were going someplace fun and special for his birthday with just our family. We went bowling and had a great time!

Declan needed a little help.

Have a fun morning of bowling, we went to CiCi's Pizza for lunch!

Happy Valentine's Day...NO IT'S NOT!!

And why, you ask wasn't it a Happy Valentine's Day? Well that was Corin because was misbehaving and not listening so much and had enough warnings that he missed out on decorating Valentine cookies and eating them with the family. It was hard not to let him join in on the fun, but there was no other way for him to listen. Sometimes with him I have to do the extreme.

Declan, on the other hand had a quite different view of Valentine's Day.

"The Look"

Declan can give some "nasty" type looks. I just think they are funny and I love that I can capture them in a picture.
